Note written January 10, 1972 from Lesley to me

 

Hai!

 

Now it's my turn to insult you to death. You are an insult in itself to humanity. Great Sam Scratch! If the Martians came down and landed next to you, looked out of their spaceship and studied you carefully, they'd close up their spaceship as fast as possible, and Zoom back to Mars with the news that Earth had the gooniest strangest creatures they had ever set eyes on. So there!

 

We have this little kid in our class. She only one year old. What a scream! She keeps sliding off the stool and yelling "Help! Help!" I guess that's the first word she learned to say.

 

All right, now for Sandy, I hate her so much it's killing me! I wish I could get rid of her.

 

On Saturday afternoon-Heh heh heh-I bet you never guessed! Heh Heh Heh Just wait till your parents go out. You and Judy will have a nice vigorous game of checkers, later on chess? Huh? I only have a second left. I have to go now.

January 11 Tuesday

Math- Christine gave me a purple and red capsule. Gym- I took the capsule (didn't do anything). Lunch- Mike here, went outside for a smoke, then went to the caf (talking like "That goes well with my book "The") [the reference is now lost]. Mike wrote on my jeans "Knee". On the bus after Mike and Don came on, Don gave me 2 day-glo paints. Mike and I yelled "Fuck-off" loud! nite- Judy came and got her paints.

 

January 12 Wednesday

Math- got 2 more pills from Christine (yesterday's), tasted one (ICK!-pure shit!). Gym- took the pills. Lunch- Don here, had a smoke outside. Met Daphnie in the caf, then went outside. Art- talked to Don at the door. The new guy's name is Colman Freeman. Science- Don, Lesley and Dave came to the door, talked to them. Don came on my bus and got me off. Judy here, we went back in to the school. Lesley gave me weird cigarette rolling paper. Don played ping-pong. Went to the Civic Center, got the bus home.

 

January 13 Thursday

Gym(spare)- went outside with Ken for a smoke, talked about 'The Illustrated Man'. Lunch- had a smoke outside with Dave. English- guy Ian at the back with Jane and I.

 

January 14 Friday

Judy here [J.R.] for about 5 minutes with a flute. Gym(spare)-Ken and I in the library, with mags (Life and Punch). Sat with Paul Racine (His Majesty) later. Lunch- with Dave Webb, Diana and Jerry, talked beside locker. Dave left, Diana and I threw Jerry in the snow 3 times. nite- Judy and I got the bus to Fairview, met Don and Lesley there. Met Ralph and Dave and the A+P in Dollard, walked to Dave's across a big field. Lesley was crying (a fight with Don). Mike and Alison there. Later we were knocking each other out.

 

January 15 Saturday

Worked on the basement, put on the wet plaster wall "YOU ARE HERE". nite- went to Judy's, Lesley and Don came. Doing the 'red-blanket' on the floor.

 

January 16 Sunday

Finished the basement! (wow!). Sue has hash.
