March 18 Saturday

I think Chris Todd's address is 100 Maywood 697-9897 [I guess the new phone books had arrived]. Walked to Lesley's, Dave, Ralph and Danielle came. Gave a sample of our opera (Dave, Ralph and I). Lesley, Don and I went to the back to talk about Judy and how we might get rid of her [nice guys, Judy recently had because more nervous about the direction we were taking; she didn't like the Mapes and got fucked up on drugs. This was all part of the general breakup of the original group]. Ps- we went to Perette's except for Don who was mad at Lesley and had left, but came back. Got nourishment, got a drive home.

March 19 Sunday

Don, Lesley and Judy came over, sat in the livingroom. Watched the March 9 movie. Don and Lesley had a fight (Don was horny, Lesley wasn't). My parent returned so we went downstairs. We all had a blanket because it was cold. Don dragged Lesley off to the backroom but Lesley wouldn't do anything. Don attacked me on the couch.

March 20 Monday

Math- Chris does live on Maywood, I asked him if he knew where it was and he said "Yeah, I live on it". History- I bunned Janet and she fell down. Lunch- went to the usual place in the aud with Lesley, Dave and Janet came, then we all went out with a girl for a smoke, sang Beatle songs. Science- I'm sitting alone (yea!), Chris gave me a Sweet Tart without me asking. He told me about a dance for spastics at the YMCA.

March 21 Tuesday

French- Mariline said Laine was here two weeks ago [and with that he disappears from the journals..Hope you're doing well, wherever you are]. Math- at the beginning I chased Christine out of the class yelling "Your buns are going to die. I'll rip them out by the roots". History- I attacked Janet [a bit too much energy today perhaps...]. Lunch- Lesley, Dave, Janet, Christine and I sat up by the aud doors and had a smoke. I watched out, then we argued about who would get the last Black Sabbath ticket (Judy not going) (46) English- before class outside the door Jane came up and shook hands with me, there was cold cream all over her hands. Jennie and I went up to the front and asked Yacknin if we could go out for a smoke, he said yeah, so we and Warren went outside and had one. Back in class when Yacknin was out of the room Warren and Dave attacked me in my chair. I left at 2 and saw Diane, Norma, Janet and Dave sitting in the hall so I sat with them for 2 minutes. Science- Chris, Sweet Tart same as yesterday. After class in the hall I was talking to Grace Roberts and Chris went by, I said "There goes a hippie for you", he turned around and made a weird face. On the bus Beth Hudson was giving me hot chips. nite- went with Sue and Paul to the place where we keep our horse we bought [Simba]. Tommy and Diane came too. We went to Sue's after, phoned Lesley from there. Sue gave me some hash, I stoned [sic] right now from just a bit of it (10:13 pm).

March 22 Wednesday

I wiped out on the path. Math- Christine and I talked. Gym- basketball, Webb went to put the ball in the basket, jumped but the ball wasn't in his hands, he had dropped it. History- Chark was 10 minutes late, so Dave, Janet and I talked at the door. Lunch- Lesley, Janet, a guy (March 1 lunch) and I went outside the aud and toked some of the stuff I got last night. Dave and some guy came. We sat by the aud doors. Yacknin came and threw us out, he said we were smoking (us- never!). English- at the beginning outside in the hall I chased Janet saying "Let me see your nest!". Yacknin let us out, met Dave going down the Great Hall, saw Lesley in gym 3. Dave and I went outside the doors going to the back parking lot and had a smoke, then we went to the aud and sat up by the doors. Science- Chris took apart a watch we'd found. A girl at the front dropped her pencils, Einser actually laughed.

46. We seemed to have got our way. I remember a guy saying we were crazy to see Black Sabbath, that Jethro Tull was the concert to see. He was probably right [see April 14, 1972]. During their moment, from about 1969-72, Jethro Tull were one of the top bands in the world (a reputation build in a big way because of their live shows. Their music was gentle (for the most part, Ian Anderson did have a nasty bite once and a while), though the lyrics where sometimes obscure. The band unfortunately fell victim to the concept album bug, and they soon fell into self-parody and eventually obscurity...
